Abashweki, the 3-time Ntare Lions League champions, have officially unveiled Amara Cosmetics as their partner ahead of Season 16. The 2008 to 2013 cohort is the most decorated side in the alumni league, which usually happens on Sundays at various venues around Kampala and Wakiso.
Speaking at the unveiling, Leyton Karuhanga, the President of the Abashweki noted, “Amara supporting us financially and through their products shall make us a better team, and in return, make them a bigger brand.”
Lewis Ainebyoona, the team tactician and Uganda Premier League winner with Express FC, added; “Amara has come at the right time as we go into the next season. We are going to be fresh on and off the pitch.”
The Amara team was present and only had praises for the three-time Ntare Lions League champions.
“We partner with winners, we partner with successful teams, that is why we are partnering with Abashweki, who are the most successful team in the Ntare Lions League. This partnership is more than sport; it speaks to our commitment to supporting young and local talents,” Eugene Too, the General Manager of Amara, noted.
The Abashweki are proudly associated with the record Uganda Rugby Champions, the Heathens. The Kyadondo side was fully represented at the unveiling.
“It is great seeing our partners achieve this milestone. When they go out there and shine, we also shine as Heathens RFC. We also look forward to organizing crossover activities between the Heathens and the Abashweki because we have rugby players who love football, and they also have football players who love rugby,” Lucy Ssuubi, the Media Officer of Heathens RFC.
