Dembe Trading Enterprises Limited was established in 1997 in Kampala, Uganda, by Mr. Anil Damani, a third-generation Ugandan entrepreneur. As a leading importation and distribution company, Dembe represents some of the world’s most renowned brands. The company is the authorised distributor for a range of FMCG and FMCD brands and is also the manufacturer of several well-known Ugandan brands.  

In addition, Dembe boasts a substantial commercial and residential property portfolio, which is leased to tenants across Kampala.

Dembe is the proud manufacturer of several well-known Ugandan brands, including "Ubisco" Biscuits, Uganda’s leading biscuit brand; "Snack Attack" Crisps and Corn Snacks; "Odorex" Disinfectant Balls; "Hermela" Bathing Soaps; and "Wakisha" and "Rio" Candles/Matches. 

Additionally, Dembe's sister company, Ponders Ltd, manufactures a variety of cold chain products, including "Snowman" Ice Cream, Yoghurt, and Cheese.
